1 Corinthians 9-11

Do All to the Glory of God

1 Corinthians 10:31-33 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

All of the children of Israel were under the cloud, they all passed through the sea, they were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, they all ate the same spiritual food and drink. But with most of them God was not well pleased. Many lusted after evil things; they became idolaters, committed sexual immorality, and they complained against God and those God chose to lead them. And they died in the desert. These examples were preserved for our admonition. Therefore let we who think we stand take heed lest we fall. Let us be mindful that no temptation has overtaken us except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear. With the temptation God will also make the way of escape. So let us flee from idolatry and avoid sexual immorality. Let us refrain from complaining against God, rather let us be grateful for His goodness and for all of His provisions. How blessed we are to have been baptized in the name of Yehovah and Yeshua His Son; how blessed to have been given the same spiritual food and drink! So in eating the bread that symbolizes Yeshua's body which was broken for us, and drinking the cup which symbolizes the new covenant in His blood, let us humbly proclaim the Lord's death until He comes. In eating or in drinking or in whatever we do, let us do all to the glory of the Lord. Let us praise Him and give Him thanks, for He is good; His love endures forever! (Psalm 118:1)
