Be Exalted, O God
(Day 16 of the Omer)
Psalms
57:9-11 I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to
You among the nations. For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and Your
truth unto the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your
glory be above all the earth.
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge. I will call upon God Most High and You shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and You shall hear my voice. You shall send from heaven and save me; You shall send forth mercy and truth. When I cry out to You,
then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because You are for me. In You I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? You have redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me. I will render praises to You, for You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling that I may walk before God in the light of the living? My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, Lord, among the nations. For great is Your love, reaching to the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be above all the earth!
