Glorify God in Your Body and In Your Spirit, Which Are God's

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Prayer:

Are we puffed up because we tolerate the immoral among us? Is it a badge of honor to be accepting of that which God defines as sin? Paul says that such glorying is not good. In this world we are confronted with all sorts of vile behavior, but in the congregation, this should not at all be tolerated. For we have been washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Yeshua and by the Spirit of our God. Yeshua paid for us with His blood, thus we are no longer our own to do just as we please. We are His, and we are called to walk according to the pure standards of God. Therefore, let us glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are God's. Help us Father, to purge out the old leaven of malice and wickedness that we may be the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Please guide us as we journey on the path of righteousness, and bring us into Your beautiful Kingdom of love and light. May we live each day of our lives with the intent of bringing honor and glory to Your most holy name, O Yehovah our God.
