I Bestow Upon You a Kingdom
With the couple at the dinner table sat a man who had journeyed part of the way to Emmaus with them. And as they traveled the man had expounded upon the Scriptures and prophecies regarding Yeshua. But they didn't know that the man was Yeshua. Their eyes were not opened until He took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then at that very moment they knew. Only days earlier, Yeshua had sat at another meal; this one with His apostles. After giving thanks for the bread, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." Yeshua had explained in earlier teachings that He was the bread of God who came down from heaven to give life to the world. He taught that those who come to Him shall never hunger; he who believes in Him shall never thirst. Jesus said, "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:32-40) Let us therefore declare that "Yeshua is Lord" and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and that we will be saved. For it is with our heart that we believe and are justified, and it is with our mouth that we profess our faith and are saved. As Scripture says, "Anyone (Jew and Gentile) who believes in him will never be put to shame." For the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:9-13)Yeshua, our Savior and King, we call upon Your name because You are the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in You, though we die, yet shall we live. (John 11:25)
