The Son of God
John
1:32-34 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending
from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not know Him,
but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see
the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes
with the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen and testified that this is the
Son of God.”
If anyone acknowledges that Yeshua is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. (1 John 4:15) God, who has called us into fellowship with His Son, has faithfully assured us with many testimonies that Yeshua, the Messiah our Lord, is His Son. Angels bore witness that Yeshua was the Son of God. (Luke 1:11-36) John the Baptist bore witness that Yeshua was the Son of God. (John 1:34) The Father Himself bore witness, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:16, 17:5) Besides these three compelling witnesses, Yeshua gave us two more. He said that the Scriptures testify of Him, and His works testify of Him. (John 5:31-40) So let us acknowledge that Yeshua is the Son of God and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord. (Romans 10:9) For God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has
the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have
life. (1 John 5:11-12) We know that the Son of God has come, and has
given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true. And we are
in Him who is true by being in His Son Yeshua the Messiah. (1 John 5:20)
