The Son of Man
Yeshua often identified Himself as "the Son of Man", referencing a title in Daniel's Chapter 7 night vision. In it the Ancient of Days was seated on His powerful throne emitting flames of fire and steam. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. In the vision Daniel watched while the four great beasts of the earth were judged and sentenced. And then he saw One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! Daniel wrote: "He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed." Yeshua is He - the Son of Man to whom authority has been given to forgive sins (Matthew 9:6) and execute judgment. (John 5:27) "Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all peoples on earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! (Revelation 1:7) Blessed be Your Son, dear LORD, who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father--and ours, to Him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (Revelation 1:5-6)
