Zechariah 9-11

Your King is Coming to You

Zechariah 9:9-10 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; the battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.”

As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Yeshua sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them." This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: "Say to Daughter Zion, 'See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'"  (Matthew 21:1-5) The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the LORD! Hosanna in the highest heaven!" (Matthew 21:9) Yeshua came the first time as an atonement sacrifice for our sins. He came gentle - and riding on a donkey. (Hebrews 9:28} He died and was lifted up into the heavens to the right hand of the Father. But He is coming back with all power and authority - riding on a white horse. (Revelation 19:11-15) So let us look forward to His return and make ourselves ready, for there is laid up for us the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award us on that Day, and not only to we but also to all who have loved his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8)
