Matthew 26-28

You Will See the Son of Man Sitting at the Right Hand of the Power

Matthew 26:62-64 And the high priest arose and said to Him, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Soon to complete His work on earth, nothing could or would derail Him from realizing His purpose and destiny; not death on the cross by the hands of civil and religious authorities; not false testimony, scourging, beatings nor ridicule from the crowds who once followed Him; and not even the betrayal and the denial of two of His closest companions. Though His soul was exceedingly sorrowful and deeply distressed, Yeshua endured it all for the joy that was set before Him. (Hebrews 12:2) Likewise we must also arm ourselves with the same mind as He. (1 Peter 4:1-2) For all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. (2 Timothy 3:12) Let us set our minds on things above, not on things on the earth, as did Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) Let us remember that our light affliction which is but for a moment, is working for us a far and more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (Corinthians 4:17) The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Let us always be mindful of this, that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:16-18) Let us keep our lives hidden with Yeshua in God. And when Christ who is our life appears, then we also will appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4)
