Your Faithfulness Reaches to the Skies
It is so easy to fret because of evildoers. However, Psalms 37 exhorts us not to fret – but to trust in the Lord and do good. “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it. Cultivate faithfulness. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Do not fret because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and forsake wrath; do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land. Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more. The humble will inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity”. Dear Father, thank You for these words of hope and the reminder to wait patiently for You. Please calm our troubled hearts as we witness the evil around us becoming more and more prevalent and invasive. Let us be filled with Your peace so that we do not fret. God speed the day when the wicked man will be no more and the humble of heart will inherit the land.
