With
the Kind You Show Yourself Kind
I need to remember to “pray the Psalms”
when my own words seem so very inadequate. The Psalms that David (and other Psalmists) composed, often reflect our own plights, emotions, desires and hopes. Such are the words that David expressed in this reading. “Arise, O, Lord,
deliver my soul from the wicked with Your sword,
from men of the world, whose portion is this life. The Lord is the portion of
my inheritance and my cup; indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. I shall behold
Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.
Dear Father, I love You, O Lord, my strength. You are our rock, our fortress
and our deliverer. In You, we take refuge. Keep us as the apple of the eye;
hide us in the shadow of Your wings. You make known to us the path of life; in
Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever”.
