Let
the Little Children Come to Me
Jesus taught that the kingdom of
heaven is made up: of people with attitudes like the little children coming to
Him to be blessed, and not of the wealthy, whose riches of today are more
important than the life to come; of those who desire to serve, and not of those
who lord over others; of those who believed John the Baptist and repented, and
not of those who would not believe and refused to repent; of those who bore
good fruit and respected the king, and not of those who bore evil fruit and killed
the Son. If we desire to be in the Kingdom of heaven, we must come before the
Lord broken – with humble, serving, and repentant hearts. “For, whoever falls
on this stone (Jesus, the cornerstone) will be broken to pieces; but on whoever
it falls, it will grind him to powder!” Dear Father, thank You for the
marvelous hope of Your kingdom. May we come humbly before You – with broken and
repentant hearts. May we love Your Son above all else on earth, and may we serve
Him well. May we bear much fruit and bring glory to Your righteous and holy
name. God speed the day when we dwell with You and Your Son in Your kingdom
forevermore.
