P’kudei
- Accounts
When Moses completed and consecrated the tent of meeting, the cloud covered
it and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. The cloud was in the sight of
all Israel – night and day. Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud
was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out; but if
the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was
taken up. In his letters to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul likened our own
bodies to an earthly tent (2 Corinthians 5:1) and as a temple of the Holy
Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:15). Paul exhorted believers to glorify God in our
bodies because we have been bought with a price. (1 Corinthians 6:20). Dear
Father, thank You for paying the price for our redemption. May we glorify You
in our bodies. Thank You for the covering of Your grace. May Your grace go
before us and make our ways straight. Thank You for Your spirit. May we be
quick to respond to its guidance. May we go when it leads us forward and stay
put when it directs us to stay. And Father, please fill us with Your glory so
that we will walk in the Spirit and our lives will reflect You in everything
that we say and do.
