Before
Honor Comes Humility
The eyes of the LORD are in every
place, watching the evil and the good. His heart is far from the wicked, but He
loves those who pursue righteousness. The Proverbs offer life-giving reproof
and those who listen to it will dwell among the wise. The path of life leads
upward for the wise that he may keep away from Sheol below. (Proverbs 15:3,9,24,29,31)
Dear
Father, thank You for these chapters jammed packed with words that encourage
and correct. How blessed we are that You, our loving Father, are directly
involved in teaching us the way of righteousness and wisdom. Thank You for Your
correction and encouragement. How blessed we are to be Your children - to be
corrected and disciplined by a Father who loves us so very much. May we humble
ourselves to receive Your loving correction and may we dwell with the righteous
who dwell with You forever and ever. Amen.
