Your Works to the LORD
“The mind of man plans his way, but
the Lord directs his steps” (verse 9). Thank the LORD for that! I am a
plan-maker. I have put a great deal of time and energy into making plans. Many of
my plans have gone no further than a collection of details on paper. And many plans that I worked on and began to fulfill, did not come to fruition or were terminated. Perhaps verse 3 is the reason: “Commit your
works to the Lord and your plans will be established”. I do think that many of the plans I worked on that were in line with God's will for me have been established. And I am
grateful that He has directed my steps and that His plans for me are being
worked out – rather than my own. His are much better. Thank You Father, for
guiding my life. Thank You for leading me on a path of Your choosing. Please help
me to commit all my works to You. I am so grateful that my life is in Your very
capable hands. In Your hands is exactly where I want to be – now and through
eternity.
