So the Scripture was Fulfilled
When the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" These words revealed and fulfilled another prophetic passage in Scripture regarding the Messiah. And after speaking these words Yeshua cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. The Psalmist predicted and described well the final moments of Yeshua's physical existence. (Psalm 22) The Psalmist also spoke to Messiah's followers - those then and we now. "A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, they will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this." (Psalm 22:30-31) So, let us who seek Him praise the LORD. Let our hearts live forever! May all the ends of the world remember and turn to the LORD, may all the families of the nations worship before Him. For the kingdom is the LORD's and He rules over the nations. (Psalm 22:26-28) Our Father, may it be Your will that Your kingdom come soon and Yeshua takes His rightful place upon the throne of glory, and we hear the words we are longing to hear, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." (Matthew 25:34)
