They Forsook All and Followed Him
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD was upon Yeshua, because Yehovah had anointed Yeshua to proclaim good news to the poor. He sent Yeshua to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the blind, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. (Isaiah 61:1-3, Luke 4:17-19) Thank You dear Father, for sending Your Son to free us from every sort of affliction. Thank You for Your Son who redeemed us from the bondage of sin and death. Thank You for Your Son who comforted us with the good news of Your coming glorious kingdom. May we forsake the futility of this life and follow Him, for He is the way to everlasting peace and joy and love. "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!" (Revelation 5:13)
