Do Not Worry About Your Life
Luke
12:22-24 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, ‘Do
not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what
you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than
clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have
neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value
are you than the birds?’”
Yeshua told His disciples to beware of covetousness for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. He said that he who lays up treasure for himself, is not rich toward God. He told His disciples that they should not even worry about what they will eat or drink, but rather seek the kingdom of God, for the Father knew what they needed and would supply it. He told them not to fear regarding these things, "for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Yeshua taught that the disciples should: fear God and not men, hear the word of God and keep it, be good stewards over that which God has assigned them on earth to steward, and to bear much fruit. Help us Father, to learn from these teachings by Yeshua to His disciples so that we may live our lives accordingly and bear much fruit; for by this You are glorified. (John 15:8) Holy is Your name! May Your will on earth be done and Your kingdom soon come.
