John 20-21

I Am Ascending to My Father and Your Father

(Days of Unleavened Bread 4)
John 20:16-18 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

Yeshua is the author and finisher of our faith, and for the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame, and has now sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) Because He humbled Himself, and became obedient to death on the cross, God has highly exalted Him and has given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Yeshua Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:8-11) Yeshua is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs. (Hebrews 1:3-4) If we confess with our mouth the Lord Yeshua and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Yeshua Messiah from the dead to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us, we who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1:3-5)
