Matthew 10-11

He Who Receives Me Receives Him Who Sent Me

Matthew 10:37-40 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

Yeshua called His twelve disciples to Him and gave them power over unclean spirits to cast them out, and power to heal all kinds of sickness and disease, and to raise the dead. He told them to go to the lost sheep of Israel and to say to them, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." Yeshua said that He was sending them out as sheep in the midst of wolves. "Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." He said that brother will deliver up brother to death; and children will rise up against parents. And they would be hated by all for His name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give us the same attitude of mind toward each other that Messiah Yeshua had, so that with one mind and one voice we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua. Let us accept one another, just as Messiah accepted us in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:5-7) Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Yeshua the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2) After we have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, establish, and strengthen us. To Him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:10)
