People Should Seek the Law From His Mouth
Malachi
2:5-8 “My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, and I gave them
to him that he might fear Me; so he feared Me and was reverent before
My name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and injustice was not found
on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity, and turned many away
from iniquity. For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and
people should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of
the Lord of hosts. But you have departed from the way; you have caused
many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
The LORD was angry with the priests, for they were not upholding the holy institution of marriage which He loves. They were marrying the daughters of a foreign god and dealing treacherously with the wife of their youth. She had entered into covenant with the priest to be one with him, but he cast her away so that he could be with another. This is an evil thing in the eyes of the LORD. Our Father, help us to care for our spouses with tenderness and love, as You care for us. (Ephesians 4:31-32) Change the hearts of those who deal treacherously and give them hearts that are willing to lay down their lives for their spouses as Yeshua, our Savior, was willing to lay down His life for us. (1 John 3:16) You hear us when we cry out to You for help. Thank You for delivering us from all our troubles. You are near to the brokenhearted and You save the crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:17-18) You raise the poor from the dust and lift the needy; You give the barren woman a home and You make her the joyous mother of children. Praise Yehovah! (Psalm 113:7-9) "O Yehovah, who is like You, delivering the poor from him who is too strong, the poor and needy from him who robs him?" (Psalm 35:9-10) Thank You for Your amazing grace and tender love.
