Vayikra – And He Called

Leviticus 1:1-2 Now the LORD called to Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When any one of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of the livestock—of the herd and of the flock.”

Prayer:

The offering that I, as a believer in Yeshua am exhorted to bring to God, is an offering much more difficult to present than the offerings of ancient days. For rather than an animal sacrifice from the herd or the flock, I am to present myself, as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. (Romans 12:1-2) Yeshua said that if anyone desires to be His disciple, they must deny themselves, take up their cross daily and follow Him. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Yeshua's sake will find it. (Matthew 16:24-25) Help me, dear Father, to lay down my own life that Yeshua may live His life in me. (Galatians 2:20) Help me to lay down my life for the sake of others, that I might love them like Yeshua does. (John 15:13) And help me, dear Lord, to lay down my life today that I may live forever and always with You.
