And
in His Law, He Meditates Day and Night
“Blessed is the one who does not walk
in the counsel of the wicked”. Those who follow the counsel of the wicked are
like chaff that the wind blows away. God does not take pleasure in wickedness; for
no evil dwells with Him. The boastful shall not stand before His eyes; He hates
all who do iniquity. But blessed are those who delight in the law of the LORD.
Those who meditate on His law and walk in His righteous ways, grow strong and
bear much fruit. Jesus told His disciples that the Father is glorified by this,
“that you bear much fruit” (John 15:7). “O Lord, lead me in Your righteousness
because of my foes; Make Your way straight before me. Let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let
them sing for joy; and may You shelter them, that those who love Your name may
exult in You. For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O Lord, You surround
him with favor as with a shield. By Your abundant lovingkindness we will enter
Your house, at Your holy temple we will bow in reverence for You" (Psalms 5:7-12).
