The King
Pilate
asked Jesus, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not
of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be
fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My
kingdom is not of this realm.” Then Pilate said, “So You are a King?” Jesus
answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and
for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is
of the truth hears My voice.” Dear Father, May all who hear His voice testify that Jesus our Messiah is King! Blessed is the King who comes in the
name of the Lord; “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David; Hosanna
in the highest!” (Mark 11:9-10). How we long for the day that the Messiah, our King, comes back to
receive His own! And when that day comes, may we be among those on His right who hear Him say, “Come,
you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world.”
