The Way, the Truth
and the Life
“Do
not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me” Jesus told
His disciples. “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not
so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you…I will come
again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And
you know the way where I am going” Jesus said. “I am the way, and the truth,
and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Jesus said that because
He is in the Father and the Father is in Him, the words that He speaks are not
of His own initiative, but the Father abiding in Him does His works. And Jesus
said that “he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and
greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you
ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” Dear Father, thank You for Your
Son. He is the way, the truth and the life. Help me to seek You only through
Him. I believe in You. I believe in Your Son. But I know that my faith is
lacking. Please help my unbelief. Oh, let not my heart be troubled. Grant me
the faith that whatever I ask in His name, He will do. Let my heart believe in
You. Let my heart believe in Your son. And may Your name truly be glorified because
I believe!
