Every Word of God is Tested

“Every Word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words or He will reprove you and you will be proved a liar” (verse 5-6).  I am so grateful for the Word of God! It truly is a treasure – a precious gift!  For it reveals who God is...the Almighty God Who created us and the glorious destination He has planned for us. And it is an instruction manual for our journeys in this life (Joshua 1:8-9). We can trust the Word of God for it is true (John 17:17) it is pure (Psalms 12:6) it guards us from deception (Deuteronomy 13:1-5) it is complete (Revelation 22:19) and it is everlasting (Psalm 119:89). The Word of God is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:10-17). Dear Father, “Your Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord; Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have told of all the ordinances of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your Word” (Psalms 119:11-16).
