Do
Not Lean on Your Own Understanding
The LORD gave His commandments to
bless us in every way. If we write them in our hearts and minds, they will
guide us in righteousness and guard us from evil. If we truly lean on the LORD
for understanding, if we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will make our paths
straight. The LORD is our confidence, our strength and our peace. The LORD’s
wisdom and the LORD’s ways are life to our soul. Dear Father, it is so easy to lean on our own
understanding. Please keep us in remembrance to come often to You in prayer and
seek diligently the Scriptures for understanding, for knowledge and for
guidance. Thank You for Your perfect commandments – may we appreciate the treasure
they are! Let them guide us and guard us
as we live each day. And may we follow You as You lead us on the path of righteousness
for Your name’s sake; the path to life everlasting with You.
