Joshua 18-21

I love this Scripture: “Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.” (Joshua 21:45) God proved His faithfulness to Joshua and the children of Israel by keeping every promise. However, when the LORD instructed the children of Israel to go in and take possession of their inheritance, they had a bunch of excuses for not doing so. Finally, they went in. Though God kept all His promises to His people they had a hard time receiving some of those promises if there were also things required of them. In a previous reading I reflected that we need to be careful to wait on the LORD and not jump ahead of His timing.  But in this reading, I am perceiving that when it is God’s timing for us to receive - we need to trust Him and go in and receive. Thank You Father that You keep every promise for we know that it is impossible for You to lie.  Help us to remember this so that in everything we can trust You. Help us to receive what You give - even those things that require something of us. And, thank You dear Father, for the precious gifts of Your love, Your Son, Your Spirit and Life forever with You.
