It is interesting that the first few
chapters in Genesis somewhat mirror the last few chapters in Revelation
regarding physical and spiritual aspects of at least three different
subjects... 1) heaven and earth; 2) light and darkness; and 3) the first bride
who was overcome by the Serpent vs the final glorious Bride. Everything in
between describes the journey of humankind from the physical in the beginning
to the spiritual at the end. We are physical beings – our world is physical… we
understand the physical. But the physical is temporary and will one day pass
away. Dear Father, You have placed hope in our hearts for eternal life which
will never pass away. The Bible reveals the eternal and is our guide to
everlasting life. Thank you for giving us hope and for giving us a guide for
our journeys. Help us to trust in Your Words, in Your love and In Your helping
hand to direct us from darkness to light; from despair to hope and from death
to life. Reveal Yourself to us as we read your Words. Please give us eyes to
see, ears to hear and a heart to understand.
