Romans 1-3

The Just Shall Live By Faith

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? Do you of the circumcision believe that just because you are circumcised you have attained salvation? God will render each one according to his works: eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality, but wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition and do not obey the truth but follow unrighteousness. There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Gentile, but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and also the Gentile. For there is no partiality with God. God is not God of the Jews only, He is also the God of the Gentiles. It is not those who hear the law who are righteous before God, but those who do the law. Whenever the Gentiles who do not have the law, by nature do the things required by the law, they demonstrate that the work of the law is written in their hearts. Their conscience shall bear witness and accuse or defend them on the day when God will judge the secrets of human hearts. Thank You Father for Your goodness which leads us to repentance. Thank You for Your grace. You do not show partiality, rather You are God to all peoples of all nations. We are Yours if Your laws are written on our hearts. "For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God."
