Me to Judah
Nehemiah is another great example to
me. He exuded a positive disposition in a very secular environment, thus letting the light of His God
shine through Him. He cared deeply for other believers, thus he was grieved when
he learned of their despair. And he responded with fasting and prayer. He
prayed to the Most High in heaven for favor from the most high in the land and
received what he requested and more. He was careful and prudent in making a
workable plan before revealing it to those who might want to block his efforts.
And he involved all the believers in working out that plan, which engaged and
unified them and strengthened them against opposition. Thank You Father, for
the account of Nehemiah’s example. Help us also to reflect a good attitude because the life
of Your Son lives in us, and from us His light shines to brighten an otherwise
dark world. Help us to care deeply for other believers – to lift them up in earnest
prayer, for the prayer of the righteous avails much! Help us to be careful,
prudent, thoughtful and wise so that our actions will glorify You and benefit
others. And unify and strengthen Your children so that we may see the
completion of Your work, the work of Salvation – our hope of glory!
