Deuteronomy 33-34

Vezot Haberakhah – And This is the Blessing

(Shemini Atzeret/The Eighth Day) Deuteronomy 33:1-3 Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said: “The LORD came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints; from His right hand came a fiery law for them. Yes, He loves the people; all His saints are in Your hand; they sit down at Your feet; everyone receives Your words.”

Ecclesiastes 11-12

Fear God and Keep His Commandments

(Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles – Day 7) Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Ecclesiastes 9-10

Whatever Your Hand Finds to Do, Do it with Your Might

(Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles – Day 6) Ecclesiastes 9:9-10 Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

Ecclesiastes 7-8

Consider the Work of God

(Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles – Day 5) Ecclesiastes 7:13-14 Consider the work of God; for who can make straight what He has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, so that man can find out nothing that will come after him.

Ecclesiastes 5-6

This is the Gift of God

(Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles – Day 4) Ecclesiastes 5:18-20 Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

Ecclesiastes 3-4

I Know That Whatever God Does, It Shall Be Forever

(Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles – Day 3) Ecclesiastes 3:12-15 I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been; and God requires an account of what is past.

Ecclesiastes 2

God Gives Wisdom and Knowledge and Joy

(Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles – Day 2) Ecclesiastes 2:24-26 Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God. For who can eat, or who can have enjoyment, more than I? For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.
